So, The Salvation Army is a church?

Most people in the United States don’t know that The Salvation Army is a church. People will likely know us through our fundraising at Christmas, our Family Stores, or the work we do with people in need. We provide these services in Jesus’ name in response to the love God has shown us. Such work in the community is built on the foundation of a church community that seeks to love and serve God. We want to be a welcoming church that comes alongside you and your family, helping you be Jesus’ follower.

What this means for you:

We believe that everyone can become the person God calls them to be. That's what our church community exists to help you do! Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Salvation Army family.
